Glacé Cherries

Candied fruit, also known as crystallised fruit or glacé fruit, has been around since the 14th century. They are crystallized or candied fruits and peel, and are made from real fruit pieces that have been soaked in sugar syrup which absorbs the moisture from within the fruit and eventually preserves it. They are primarily used in festive cooking such as fruit cakes, mincemeat mixes and as a key ingredient in panettone and cassata.

How To Use:

Glacé cherries are particularly popular in cakes and puddings and for decoration.

Ingredients:

Cherries, Sugar, Citric Acid (E330), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate [E202]), Colour (Carmine [E120]), Sulphur Dioxide (E220)

This product contains Sulphites.

May also contain traces of other allergens.

Storage:

Store in an air tight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Shelf life:

Up to 12 months when stored as above. See best before date.
